Net Sales Analysis Detailed
The Net Sales Analysis Detailed report provides prescription sales and gross profit information for each primary third party plan. It also provides prescription counts for each third party plan.
The Detailed version contains three sections: Rx Count Section, Rx $ Value Section and Gross Profit Totals. When Detailed is selected in the Extended report criteria, the three sections are automatically flagged. If you would like to generate the report for only a specific section (ex. Gross Profit Totals), deselect the unwanted sections. Each section is a minimum of 1 page, therefore the Detailed report will be a minimum of 3 pages long when all sections are printed.
Sales & Gross Profit Summary
The Sales & Gross Profit Summary includes gross profit totals for each third party and plan, along with the gross profit % and average gross profit dollar value.
There is a subsection for the gross profit obtained from of non-retail prescriptions, broken down by group Rx status - this section only appears if non-retail prescriptions have been filled during the report period. The disclaimer located below this section indicates: *Prescriptions with this group Rx status have been included in the above prescription counts. The disclaimer refers to the group Rx statues A, D, I, O, W, X, and non-retail prescriptions with ‘No Group Rx Status Assigned’ - these are all financial prescriptions that have been included in the overall prescription counts. The remaining group Rx statuses (C, F, G, N, P, R, T, V, Z) are not related to billing and are therefore not included in the dollar values - the price is $0.00 for prescriptions with these statuses.

Prescription $ Values
The Prescription $ Values section includes the dollar value for claims and reversals submitted to each third party and plan. This information is broken down by Cost, Markup and Fee. Net Paid totals are indicated for the primary third party, COB third parties and Cash.
Note: The third party amounts in the Detailed Version's Prescription $ Values section are NOT expected to match the third party dollar amounts on the Condensed version. The Rx Sales Totals on the Prescription $ Values section will match the Condensed version.
If the pharmacy has products monitored in Inventory, the overall inventory values are calculated, using opening inventory, purchases, the value of dispensed prescriptions, manual adjustments, and closing inventory. The Inventory section also indicates the total number of products that are currently monitored in inventory.
There is a subsection for the values of non-retail claims and reversals, broken down by group Rx status - this section only appears if non-retail prescriptions have been filled during the report period. The disclaimer located under this section indicates: *Prescriptions with this group Rx status have been included in the above prescription counts. The disclaimer refers to the group Rx statues A, D, I, O, W, X and non-retail prescriptions with ‘No Group Rx Status Assigned’ - these are all financial prescriptions that have been included in the overall prescription counts. The remaining group Rx statuses (C, F, G, N, P, R, T, V, Z) are not related to billing and are therefore not included in the dollar values - the price is $0.00 for prescriptions with these statuses.
Prescription Counts
The Prescription Counts section, referred to as Rx Count Section in the report criteria, provides the number of new, refill and COB claims and reversals submitted to each third party and plan (re-authorized prescriptions are included in the counts for New prescriptions).
An overall number of prescriptions with owe amounts is indicated.
There is a subsection for the number of non-retail claims and reversals, broken down by group Rx status - this section only appears if non-retail prescriptions have been filled during the report period.
The disclaimer located to the right of the non-retail section indicates: *Prescriptions with this group Rx status have been included in the above prescription counts. The disclaimer refers to the group Rx statues A, D, I, O, W, X and non-retail prescriptions with ‘No Group Rx Status Assigned’ - these are all financial prescriptions that have been included in the overall prescription counts. The remaining group Rx statuses are not related to billing and are therefore not included in the overall prescription counts: C, F, G, N, P, R, T, V and Z. To include these group Rx statuses in the overall prescription counts, find the Net # Rx for each non-billable status and add them up manually. The resulting number should be manually added to the Grand Total Net # Rx - use this new total as the net number of prescriptions for the report period.
